biosil® PT6 is an innovative absorption material for engine compartment encapsulation, which considerably reducesthe noise emission in motor vehicles. Additionally, the increasingly higher temperatures in the engine compartment are drastically reduced by the low heat conductibility.

In close cooperation with the automotive industry, a product was developed in this context which is in serial use and which provides an effective noise and heat insulation. 

Due to new process technologies DBW will be able to offer fleecesstarting from a minimum weight of 500g/m². This development will make biosil® PT6 also interesting for applications, which could not be realized in the past due to a minimum grammage of 1.000g/m². The new product line, which will be launched under the name biosil® PT6 advanced is mainly focusing on applications in the area of hood liner and outer dash insulations for passenger cars and specific applications in light weight constructions. 

biosil® PT6 advanced is monitored by RAL-Gütegemeinschaft, it is fully recyclable and underscores the ecologic philosophy of DBW Advanced Fiber Technologies.
